Why?
I had to share the dark and beautiful world I kept daydreaming about. I used the act of drawing to explore myself and the world around me.
Common themes include geometric harmonies, femininity, internal conflict, loss of innocence, self-overcoming, tragedy, and transcendence. My influences include mythology, folklore, surrealism, sequential art, tattoos, poetry, song lyrics, video games, movies, and more. The mediums include graphite, ink, gold leaf, gold ink, pastel, and digital.
The construction of the pieces is typically guided by a stream of consciousness approach. Mystery and ambiguity were intentionally used to promote wonder and daydreaming from the viewer.
I find it to be more interesting to hear what thoughts my work inspired in other people, than to say here is how you should think of my work.
Enjoy the echoes of my howling to the moon.
